Stretch Marks

I've noticed I now have some stretch marks over my pectoral muscles that I didn't used to have before lifting. I assume it's simply because the muscle is growing, so the skin over the muscle is expanding. Anyone else have a problem with stretch marks? Can you do anything to get rid of them, and are they permanent? They're not too bad, as I can only see them from a certain angle under bright light, but they are there...

Theres some surgery thing you can get I think, but I would jsut deal with them. I have deep strechmarks going from my chest onto the top of my arms from weight lifting, they don't look so bad.

There's no way to get RID of them when they've already happened. You can do your best to prevent them by keeping your skin healthy. Lots of water and my doc recommended vitamin e. Didn't help me any I still have a road map on my stomach (pregnancy obviously). But, they do fade after the initial stretch. Make sure you keep your skin moist and you can reduce the chances of getting them in the first place. (Notice I said REDUCE, if you grow too quickly for your skin to compensate you're going to get them.)

From what the doctor told me, they're not preventable, but Vitamin E can help. I grew too fast when I was about 14-15, and got stretch marks on my back. They get less noticable after a while, but they won't go away.

It's different for everyone too. My girlfriend has NO stretch marks from her baby and I have a million. I know you're talking about muscle growth, but the outcome is the same. Honestly though, I don't think they are too noticeable to OTHERS. I know your eyes probably go right to them when you look in the mirror. I think other people would see the muscles first. Just my opinion. I was thinking of a guy that works out at the same time I do. He is so ripped and makes me drool. I was wondering if he had stretch marks. I would never notice because I can't get past the 10 pack

I do not really have any stretch marks that stay...

But What I get more in the begging than now.. 5 months after starting Weight lifting is.

My whole upper back gets like red strech marks under the skin.. Looks like someone has taken 100 nails and scratch my whole upper back with them.. looks pretty nasty but they dissapear after 2 days...

Anyone that is experiencing this as well?

Cool

I have a few but they are light and you can't see them. A friend of mine had them they were red. He used Cocobuttter on them and the seamed to fade a bit.
good luck
