Question

Sweating to a smaller me

I am a 29 year old female who has always had a "husky" build. Since giving birth, I'm husky plus loose fat. I've been on a rigorous exercise program for a couple of months now. An hour every other day of circuit training (no weights) mixed with treadmill (fast paced walking) My heart rate stays at about 150 bpm. I have only lost 3 lbs. I am definitely harder and more defined, but I was hoping for smaller. What type of exercise would you recommend for maximum fat loss?

You might want to give weights a try. Muscle burns more calories per pound than fat does. Therefore, you should build up some muscle to ramp up your metablolism. Also, make sure you keep tabs on your food intake.

What IronMan said.

Low intensity aerobics just isn't that helpful.

If you are on a severe calorie restricted diet, INTENSE cadio can help raise your metabolism. 70% of the calories you burn is spent on your base metabolism. Maybe 15% on exercise. So which do you want to improve?

If you just can't help doing some cardio. Try 15 minutes, as fast as you can. I like the 2 minute interval stuff myself. Just shoot for more distance everytime.

What's your diet look like?
