Swimming and Weights

Hi All

I am now happy with the muscle I have built and feel I need to work on my cardio/fitness, without loosing too much muscle.

I can only get to excercise mon, wed and fri for 1 hour before work. I plan to continue with weights (3 day split) one week and swimming 3 times 50 mins on alternate weeks.

Can anyone see any probs with this plan?

Thanks

BTW it is swimming week this week and it does feel good.

swimming is great for you.. works the whole body and doesn't put stress on the body's joints... do it.. you just may not gain to much muscle during this time...

what if you alternated weights and cardio
like Monday weights.. wed swim... friday weight... monday swim.............etc....

could help balance things out...
but really if you want to do it your way... shouldn't be a big problem.. just maintain a high protein diet to retain your muscle gains

Thanks for the reply miskiw

I did think about alternate weight / cardio day's but alternate weeks seems to be the best solution for me at the moment. (various reasons).

Ill stick with my plan for a couple of months and see how it pans out.
