swimming as my cardio. Can't use running.

Lately my knee has been killing me and I stop running as my cardio. I use to do 30min of cardio 3 days a week. I hate bike riding because I use to moving the entire body. So....would swimming be a good choice of cardio? Or is swimming better then running?

Swimming is good cardio. The major drawback is that you can't tell how hard you are pushing because you can't feel yourself sweat. I would recommend wearing a heart rate monitor to make sure you are working at the right intensity. You can do running in the pool as well. No impact but lots of resistance.
