The Firm???

Hello!

I just wanted to know if "the firm" workout system is a good tool in dropping fat
(besided a good diet). I tried it and it's a mix of cardio with strenght training. Has anyone tried it? They also explain that you should do it with a rest in between each video. I was wondring if I could do some cardio also on the days I'm not doing the firm(I ask because my job is basically sitting all day. Is that a bad choice? Is it to much? I really like the video.

Thanks

I have never used any of the firms tapes, but my moms good friend is in great shape and that's the only thing she does, and she swears by it. So if you enjoy them do it!

Check your heartrate while you're doing it. If it's high and you're enjoying the workout, fantastic, you've found a great cardio mode. There's quite a bit to be said for cardio modes that use the entire body.

However, don't try to use this as a substitute for real weight training. If you're doing hundreds of reps (as you would in any scheme to keep your heartrate up), you're not handling enough weight to make real muscular gains.

Thanks for the replys!

My question is could I still do cardio sessions like running/walking on the treadmill for 30-45 minutes on the days I did not use the firm tape. Is it to much? Thanks!

I used The Firm tapes before I got back to going to the gym. I highly recommend the tapes.
How many days a week are you doing the tapes? It also depends on the tape - some are more aerobic than others.
It also depends on what your goals are.
