Here is the ab plank hold for starters:

Ab Plank - Abdominal Exercises

The handstand hold (against the wall) should be obvious. So should the pullup hang hold and the parallel squat wall sit. Do a search for the other gymnastic holds but start playing with the ab plank to see if you have any interest in this stuff.

Not a very popular thread - more of an extension of my journal.

Today, a superman extension hold on the GHD unit for 1:16 (previous PR was 1:05).

Good job. I bet you really felt the burn. That is one of the hardest positions to hold for me. Keep posting your holds, I like reading them and it reminds me to start doing my holds more.

Not a lot of interest in this stuff but I'll keep it alive.

Today:

handstand hold with feet against the wall x 1:53PR (old PR was 1:43), and

ab plank hold x 4:37PR (old PR was 4:32).

Definitely a different type of strength required for this stuff.

Today at around 5:45 a.m.

A handstand hold with feet against the wall for balance: 1:59PR (my old PR was 1:53). I'm 1 second away from my 2008 goal of 2:00.

I need to work on my pullup hang hold as I'm off about 20 seconds from my PR.

I need to retitle this thread to read pierini's holds PR thread.

Today, a new PR for me, a 5:01 ab plank. I had a cheerleader to keep me going and it helped alot. I need to use him for my other holds which have been flat.

I just saw this thread. Pretty cool actually. I've played around with all of these before, some of them more regularly than others. If I remember correctly my PR's are around 1 min with the dead hang... 45 sec with the handstand... 2 min with the wall squat... and 2 min with the plank.
