toe touches

I was just curious as to the exact muscles you work when doing toe touchs and cross toe touches. I read it works the lower back, but are there any other muscles it tones as well?

You'll work your hamstrings somewhat and your obliques on the cross toe touches.

Frankly I believe there are much better exercises to do than those.
