If you lift it while it's playing music, it will actually be heavier.
You can increase the weight by playing heavier music.

yeah i agree...but Jomo..if i were u i'd be very careful...cause u don't wanna injure your back...i suggest u reduce the weights...just lift the sub-woofer box...and concentarte on reps...then gradually increase the weights... whats the point of lifting so heavy when u can only lift it like 3 times....concentrate on strength man...
what do u think?

i have to give you credit jomo for your enthusiasm to lift and the way you improvise things to challenge yourself, if it feels like its working, go for it, weight is weight, whether its in plates or subboxes or sewing machines, muscles dont descriminate between them. maybe you have some big rocks in you garden, or heavy tree stumps, garden nombes, pushups, pullups, bench dips (even off chairs), hand-stand shoulder presses, you could make up a decent workout without weights, just take 10mins to figure what you have accessible and a way of implementing them together.
keep lifting

put some pillows on your woofer box and use it for a bench. You'd be surprised to see how strong woofer boxes are.

Remeber that it is not actual weight but also the levers you are using. If your straps are in the middle of the box chances are you have to keep it slightly away from you. Just like your friend on a See-Saw will get heavier the farther away from the middle (pivot point) he so will the weight your lifting become heavier the farther it is away from the joint you are moving.
I am guessing you are doing deadlifts, so keep the weight close to you.
Another example, if soup cans become to easy try holding your arms perfectly straight.
I admire your dedication keep it up, just remember how levers and physics can help and hurt you.

Sounds like we need to start a JOMO fund for weights!
If you like lifting subs, we have a lot of last years models on clearance now.
It doesnt matter what you lift, at least you are lifting something!
That's more than most people do. Unless you count lifting a remote control or cold drink.
