Using fat calipers

I just bought these body fat calipers and was just wondering if anyone else had used something similar.... Are they reliable and accurate?

Cool, do you think you get accurate readings from it?

That's the caliper I have..I have no clue if it is accurate as it's the only one I've used but it is reliable as I do get consistant readings every time...and I was told consistancy was more important than accuracy when measuring progress.

Ahh right OK, so it's not so much the actual data that's measured, it's more about measuring the change in the results.

I'll start measuring as soon as I get 'em. Be interesting to see my rough % as I havent got a clue!

Typical, i received the Fat Trak in the post a few days ago, put the battery in, but it wouldn't power on.... I decided to open it up and take a look, and now I can't put it back together!

Ahhhh dear, looks like i'll be getting another one then....

What?! My battery comes in and out just fine. There's just a simple rotating plate that twists on/off.

Well i put the battery in, and i could hear noises when i press the two bottom buttons, but i couldn't actually 'turn it on' and get anything up on the LCD display...

I was in a rush when i opened it, and the only thing i could find was a small screwdriver... so urm, yeah I kinda trashed it lol

Did you have to press the reset button (with a pin) when you first used yours?

I'm more on "cruise control" than not. I've pretty much figured out how my body responds to both exercise and food types/combinations. It's been an interesting journey so far ... but I'm not done yet.

Hopefully I won't trash these ones!

Can't wait to find out my BF%... as a stab in the dark, i'm guessing 15-18%
