I would imagine all the heat it generates brings the blood to the surface. Mostly I'd just noticed after having a beer, but I've read that several times elsewhere.

Thanks for answering the EQ question Fudo. There is no set lowest % for seeing veins it all depends on the person etc etc, probably around 10 %

For veins to show, you need to push your lean muscular developement and obtain a low body fat %...that is it.

A small amount of alcohol increases the flow of blood by, I believe, dilating your veins. Hence the feeling of relaxation.

Being a girl and all, I used to hate 'em! I could see them in my hands, my forearms, medially on my biceps, my shoulders,... I thought they were "yucky" and embarassing.

Then, when I leaned out and built up, when I really began to change my composition (but mostly my head-set and perception), I really began to dig 'em. I get them (medially) on my quads, too, if I'm particularly lean or very pumped.

I've noticed that the vascularity I get when I'm not leaned out is not as visually appealing as when I'm tighter. When I have more bodyfat on me, it just looks sort of....I dunno,.... veiny?

But when I'm leaner or at least have packed on more bulk, I like the look.

I know that's a pretty unusual attitude for a female (or at least, I *think* it is!)
