I was just asking. Last time I checked, this place was to look for some answers. If I wanted to make people laugh, I would of gone to a Comic Stand up Night club.

no need to get your knickers in a knot: the most rudimentary search would've given you that answer and avoided the hilarity. it's great that you come here for answers, but don't expect to be spoon-fed.

the waist trimmer ranks right up there with plastic sweat suits, copper bands, earth shoes, EMS, exercise beds, and those devices with the bands that jiggle you to "break down" the fat.

they're all gimmicks devised to part you with your money, otherwise we'd all be wearing them and we'd all have trim waists and fabulous bodies.

Drop 2 or even 3 dress sizes with ZERO effort!
actual sales pitch in one ad

Products like the waist trimmer (or the Slim 'n Lift that you see on cable TV infomercials) only [temporarily] redistribute fat so that you look more fit (with clothes on). The better solution is to apply mental and physical effort towards real results. Actually shead the fat, while adding quality muscle that you can be proud of.

omg, remember those water bras!????

they were brassieres that held water in the cups that you were supposed to heat and wear. the heat caused the boobs to expand up to a full cup size.

now, remember that christmas is one of the hugest formal dress seasons there is.

consider the poor schlep who bought one of these things, purchased a fitted formal strapless dress anticipating a full cup size larger, was ecstatic with her "more feminine" profile, then went outside in winter....

Well I don't remember water bras, but I do remember our trusty "Marc Eden Bust Developer"....gosh, a bargain at only $19.99, this little plastic butterfly will enhance your boobage....yuh-huh.

Cursor, I'm glad you pointed that out, because I was going to mention it. Yes, those "wraps" or belts do work. If you doubt it, try wearing a tight pair of socks and notice the deep indentations (especially if you're carbing out, but even if you're not, you'll see "some" degree of indentation)....well this temporary redistribution is "real." It can be measured.

I've read of celebrities doing these wraps for photoshoots, blah blah blah... but of course, one must remember, what gets squashed, gets redistributed, and then it all floods back to the right places in the end anyway after not too long.....

But, for a photoshoot,......? Mmmmmmaybe uhm.....

No one said anything about "healthy," -- just asked if squishing your flesh would work, and yep, it works.....again, think of socks or tight waist bands. You temporarily displace water in the tissues,....what's "wrapped" will measure smaller, it has to,...because where it's pushed all the tissue OUT to will measure larger. Just like those sock ridges go away, so will any wonderous miracle "inch loss" from any of those ....whatever they are.....

Yes, those "wraps" or belts do work.
After the wraps are removed (or the girdle is pealed off), the body will assume it's original sagging shape (since fat has no structure that can be 'flexed'). In my view, the fact that you might look better momentarily doesn't mean that these totally cosmetic approaches "do work." I suppose it depends on how shallow/artificial one's goals are.

I was being saracastic cursor (did that slip past?)

My point was suuuure they work, because you "can" reshape the subcutaneous bodyfat momentarily, but it will always bounce right back to the original shape....

(I think I need to work on my winks)
