natbod is right. An extra set at the end of a workout can have some benefit. It may not "flush the muscle of the by-products of catabolism" as natbod stated, by it will increase blood flow to the area, thus aiding in the recovery process.
If anything, it will leave you with a nice pump.

aye, ive heard it can aid recovery process to by helping blood flow because blood can pool in the muscle if not taken care of and that can slow down recovery because it hinders circulation of the muscle.
im not sure if this is a fact but i have heard this.
