What do you do?
I have always wondered what people do on here. Are they married, do they have a family, what is there job. What it breaks down to is what lifestyle do you lead to allow you enough time to workout?
IE. I work two jobs to take care of my wife (pregnant) and two daughters (1&2) and my sister-in-laws three kids (5, 7, 9) (long sad story). So I work 13 hours at one for 4 days and 8 hours at the other for 3 days. Not including drive time. I have about an hour with my wife and kids before they fall asleep on four days. The other 3, I play with my daughters so my wife doesn't go insane. LOL. Help the older kids with there homework. Run errands. Plus mommy and daddy time = pregnant. (Just can't stop those little guys ) Ect.
So you can see I have little time to workout. Yes pierini I still find those 5-10 to workout. I usually use the 20 & 30lb portable weights (the kids). I'm not just wondering.
By the looks of it I would want to be dead to if I kept getting hit there .

i am a college student. i go to a "new ivy league college" which i am beginning to hate. it's NOT the college it was when i got there due to it's new "recognition"
i am in classes about 10 hours a week and spend tons of time doing homework as well. i work two jobs which right now only add up to maybe 5 hours a week. i keep telling myself it's better than nothing.
i try to get to the gym 4 days a week (2 to lift for upper body and 2 for cardio at the moment) but haven't been too successful.
i am on a walking campus and walk anywhere from 2.5-5 miles a day with a 20 lbs + book bag.
school comes first.

I am married no kids. I work a 8 to 5 job as a desktop engineer/network engineer/ all around "fire fighter". I go to the gym 6 days a week I lift and do cardio on 3 of them and 3 are just cardio days.
It helps my wife goes with me and works out too we are both on the same diet which helps out a lot too!

I'll agree that it is hard to find the time to workout like a single person once you are married with a family. There are other ways to maintain fitness and health though even if it is not your usually "gym" routine unless your family is on board with their interests too.
You reach a point where you just "make the time" and adjust your responsibilities accordingly. That's what I've done.

Recently married, currently unemployed due to American visa laws. I have all the time in the world right now I workout usually 5 days per week.
I spend a lot of time cooking healthy food for my hubby, and encouraging him to work out and be healthier!

I am an overworked, underpaid and unappreciated Moderator at Discuss Fitness.
And I am my wife's young and handsome bodyguard.
In my real life I am a self-employed CPA who has made a business decision not to work himself to death. Consequently, I have plenty of time to train which I do 4-6 days a week, normally early in the morning, because I am a middle-age man (old to some depending on your mindset) and we wake up early 7 days a week.

I'm married. No kids but two cats that are like kids to me I work 9-5 Mon-Fri as a lab tech at a major university. I workout 4-6 times a week, doing lifting full body 3x and interval cardio for 20 mins, then on the other days 45 mins of semi-intense steady state cardio. I usually go in the evening, about 9pm on weeknights and late afternoon on the weekends, about 4:30. I am most definitely not a morning person!

I am the father of two children, aged 18 and 11. I'm keeping the 18 year old in college and mostly out of trouble, and my 11 year old is in middle school and into every sport and activity that comes along.
I work full time as a paramedic and teach.
I have some friends who I spend a lot of time with too. Been decorating a real estate office the next town over for an X-mas party the last few days.
I also volunteer with REACH (women's shelter), and SAVE (youth violence prevention).
These keep me pretty busy.
I still find time to workout, I'm in the gym every other morning. And gradually increasing my cardio every 4th morning.

I’m a mining equipment salesman currently in Nevada gold country.
I’ve been married since 1988. We decided not to have children.
My wife is a stay at home mom with no kids. She plays with her two horses on most days.
I lift weights (in a perodization fashion) 3 days per week. I do intervals on a rowing machine 1 time per week. I do a 30 minute low intensity indoor bike ride on the 5th day.

Humm, well I am NEVER going to complain about not having enough time to workout. It just hit me! Everytime I start a new workout program, and don't see the results in a "couple weeks" I get discouraged and use that excuse! Shame Shame! I feel horrible. Well anyhow... I am a 21 year old college student, just changed my engineering major of 3 years to Nursing, I know, I know, why? Well... I wanna help people. AWWW.
I go to school everyday from about 9:30-2:00 and sell very illegal drugs on the side. Just kidding! I work 2-6 at Bank of America. On the days that I do not work it's major study time. Weekends are usually free but I don't workout because I am doing other activities/studying. So, about a month ago I decided to throw ALL my excuses out the window and just get after it! I do believe I owe thanks to LadyC! I can't remember where she said it, but she pretty much said to someone... "if you can't work out during the day or evening because you have other obligations then get your butt up at 5 and do it! If you can't, the you obviously don't want it bad enough." That really inspired me! So now, I am getting up early and doing my workout before school/work! Still have the rest of my day to do what I please. Anyhow, I am very busy BUT I am not at all as busy as someone that is married or with children, or God help him, married with children AND someone else's children! So I guess it all depends on how bad you want it!
