WHAT THE ....(legs)

Okay,
So I have changed my routine up and I am now starting off with 12 reps on my legs. I do
Hacks
free motion squats
leg extensions
leg curls
calf raises

I have been doing it till faliure at 12 reps. Well not fully I am still upping my weight to find just where my failer point is. But I have been hitting them hard and I am not having any soreness. Whats up with that. I hate not being sore because I feel like I am not working them hard enough.

I have the answer to your question on why you are not sore the next day. When you THINK you have reached muscular failure on hacks and or leg extension, close your eyes and DO another 4-6 reps NO MATTER WHAT! You are stopping at momentary muscle failure...where it hurts like a b!tch and you want to hang up the weight...well, your legs are used to this...and you must go BEYOND failure and cross yourself over the pain barrier for REAL results! Do this the next time you train legs and I GUARANTEE that your legs will be sore the next day and you will get new growth from the workout.

If you're not into the nausea-inducing style of workout I suggest adding two sets of sissy squats and stiff-leg deadlifts to that routine. Stretch-position exercise have a tendency to induce soreness like crazy.

Todd,
I totally think your right because I go to where it hurts like hell but deep down I feel like I can go another couple. I will try that. I need to build these legs of mine. These hacks are killing me. I am going to do some serious squats next Monday.

Yah, for sure...I would do two sets of good squats and then go to the hack squat machine and do what I told ya....go BEYOND failure and don't hang up those weights ...instead close your eyes when you THINK you must hang them up...and then do 4-6 more excrutiating reps..NO MATTER WHAT!!! This is serious training, that not too many people will do, but if you do it, you will definitely see results QUICK! I am not kidding you at all. You will be sore as he!l and you'll force your quads, hamstrings and ass to grow! Do the same thing for leg extensions when you do them...do a warm-up set and then two more sets to failure and beyond. A good way to crossing over the pain barrier for leg extensions is by doing 8-10 hard reps, and then when you reach failure within that range, take the pin out and lessen the weight by 10-20 pounds quickly and keep going with your set..squeezing out 4-6 more reps! Talk about a burn and torching your legs...and talk about new growth by the time you go to work your legs again!

PM me and let me know how it goes after you do this type of intense training for serious growth. Let me know how your legs are feeling as well the next day! He he he!
