Question

Whats your butt busting cardio?

Okay, so there are SO many different ways to get in a butt busting workout session. For the past month or so I have been getting up at 5am to do cardio for about 45min. But I am getting really board and feel like I am not doing enough! I know to lose weight the best option is "weights+clean eating+cardio". Right now I am just trying to get the wind back under me. Starting in December I am going to incorporate weights, but that is an entierly different thread. Anyhow, I just want some opinions on what yalls favorite kick ass cardio is. I'm talking high intensity, can't go anymore type of cardio! Also, should I change it up, like do HIIT one week and not the next? Remember, here in East Texas it is fairly chilly out side so at 5am I am kind of limited to the gym only. Otherwise I would love doing it out side. So, let me know yalls secrets! What do you eat prior and post cardio? What can you do to lesson stomach cramps? How long of cardio gives the best results? Oh my goodness I could go on and on but I think you get the gist of it. Any and all information is appreciated!

For starters:

1) any Crossit WOD

2) Tabata track sprints

3) Sprint 8 hill sprints

4) Burpees (in particular CrossFit's "Pukie Brewster" WOD of 150 burpees for time.

5) 8 rounds of 400m sprints on the track with 200m walk/jog recovery.

The iron guys will tell you about the weighted 20 rep squat set.

Try incorporating HIIT a couple of times a week. This gives you a couple of shorter sessions each week, but it will kick your butt, big time.

Get a road bike, take a ride that will totally kick your butt.

If that gets too easy, then introduce yourself to a bike/run training brick. Ride for a while, then run.
