Wow! What a change!

The site looks great! I've been gone for a long time. Thought I would drop back in and see how the site was doing. It's grown a lot since back when I was a regular here. I'm also super glad to see some users that I reconize are still here! A big Hello goes out to everyone who remembers AARS.
I will try to drop in more often. I think about you guys and gals from time to time. Glad to see you are still here, sorry I haven't been.

Hey, I remember you. Good to see you stopping by for a visit. The kind of progress you made is so motivational for everyone.

I hope you'll get the chance to stay longer and more often when you drop back in.

My lady C, glad to hear from you again. You too Ironman. What have I learned while being gone? I learned that if I stop working out, my fitness level drops quickly!
I was lucky enough to have my own fitness room for many years. It was located in our old business location. About a year ago we had to rent that location out. I had to put all of my equipment in storage. I used that as an excuse to take a break.
Now our new house is finished and I was able to incorparate a fitness room in. So now I am back on track.
My plan is to hit the weights and pack some of my lost muscle back on and then cut back to 200lbs or so, according to how I look and feel.
I'll be sure to check in and let you know how it's going and help anyone that I can.
Glad to hear from all of you again. Catch me up on how things have been going for you over the past couple of years.

I think yours is a pretty typical story -- life happens and fitness goals have to put aside for a bit. I know I find that with work anymore. It rears its ugly head and before I know it I'm two+ weeks without a proper workout. And then it gets to be a chore to get started again. Its not that I don't enjoy my workouts (I find they keep me sane!) but the pressures from other things exert themselves and I have to make my workouts a priority.

But life is good and I'm not complaining. Just brewed my first batch of beer. Will be ready to taste next week! Can't wait for that, lol. I keep telling myself that its a great way to get my ration of brewers yeast, lol.

Well I said I would be back in more often, and it's been awhile since I have done so. I have a good excuse this time though. I'm afraid that I have had a good fight with cancer. Don't worry though, it looks like I have came out on top. It has however changed my life somewhat. I am on the road to getting back on my feet. It looks like fitness will once again play an important role in my life. Wish me luck as I also wish you the same. James(AARS)
