Yeah, I watched the video and still didn't know these people or what was said. The doctor basically paraphrased what he was trying to get across - he didn't spell out what was said.

And even if he did, that would still only be one version of events.

And just to be clear, I'm not saying the guy was necessarily wrong.

I can't say that.

I don't know what he actually said

the last time i saw her, i had my kids in. there was a bowl of candy on the nurse's station, it being near hallowe'en. caiti, my younger, plump daughter, 11 yrs old at the time, asked me if she could have one. i said "better ask the nurse". the nurse wasn't around, so caiti asked the doctor. you know what that bitch did? looked caiti up and down and said "you? no." then she looked at "stick-girl" (my older daughter) and said "you? take two."
canadian healthcare sounds great! :

nah - just where i live, we tend to get the dregs. the municipality won't put out any REAL money to keep decent doctors around. that particular doctor was a roumanian ob/gyn who came in as a refugee, did 3 yrs med school in montreal (dunno how, since her french is as bad as her english, which was non-existent) to qualify as a GP, and was paid to come here. my complaint was the first in a long string of them - she told one guy with a fractured wrist that it was arthritis from smoking. like she was with me and weight, she was with smokers: everything wrong with them could be fixed if they quit smoking.

we have a couple *excellent* doctors, but their lists are full - they can't take any new patients.

My doctor raises sheep on the side...

I agree with him though on a lot of things. I don't go see him often and he doesn't want to see me. I don't ask for pills and he won't prescribe them. Only time I went was after a few larynx spasms and although he did hand me a prescription after a myriad of specialists he knew enough not to bother telling me to take them religiously.
