Age Of Empires 1 or 2 anyone?

I love playing strategy games, particular "civ" ones like AOE, AOM, Empire Earth and Civilisation 3. The C and C series are also long time favourites of mine.

Anybody here play AOE 1 or 2??

I used to be addicted to the AoE series, played it from the very first AoE up until AoK:TC and I was a god. Was in the Legion of Light clan and had a pretty high ranking (in the clan and on Zone). I got real good cus I was a nerd and spent all the time playing, knew all the strats and whanot. I got back grades so my parents grounded me from the computer and that healed my addiction.

I LOVED age of empires 2...then Empires: Dawn of the modern world came out, and whew that's a fudging amazing game!

I was addicted to Ages of Empires 2: The Conquerors... had a pretty good Mongol strategy down (good castle time, early army, etc.) I was truly addicted to that game... it wasn't the good kind of addiction either - ya know, the life consuming kind. I stopped playing because I was sick of every one flushing all the time. I liked the games where you'd play for a good 2-3 hours and just have huge armies clashing........... Ah, nostalgia!

Starcraft is my favorite. I also like the Warcraft Series (III is out now). AOE is a good game as well. Real time Strategy games are great, especially when playing against another person.

Man it's been so long since I've played Ages of Empires 2, I probably have like a 17 minute castle time since I'm so rusty.

You won't get there past my 6 minute FLUSH

JK I never had a 6 minute FLUSH. I got W3 and that game is pretty cool, but I was rasied on AoK so it will take me a while to get used to it. You guys all have War 3 right?

I believe he's talking about War Craft 3... and no I don't have it. I've been clean of video games for 1 year now.

Ok that's a lie, I got addicted to the new Mario Kart game (Double Dash) for Game Cube b/c I was raised on Mario Kart. Eh, what are ya gonna do...
