Any Buffy/Angel/Wheddon fans here?

I used to catch a few buffy moments on tv when channel surfing, but I found the whole vampire stake thing a bit tacky, so never got into it.
Recently I started watching it in sequence(dvd) and oh .. my.. god, awesome shows, with the exception of Coupling and Raven(with Jeffrey Meek), I dont think I've enjoyed any show over multiple seasons as much. Very well done storylines, multiple story arcs, some very dark episodes. U wont get into it by watching a couple of episodes, but watch it in sequence and its just fantastic. Good people sometimes get killed(and I dont people that were present in just one episode - sometimes people who were present most of the season get wacked off), good people turn bad, bad people turn good.
For additional incentive, guys there is Sarah Michelle Gellar
Girls, there is David Boreanaz.
Actually he is an incentive for guys too
When he walks on Angel with that long overcoat and the accompanaying Batmanesque music....

Buffy is good stuff. My wife got me into it a few years back. Now we have all seven seasons on DVD. The writing and the dialogue are superb.

If you're into Wheddon and comics, he's doing a 12-issue stint of The Astonishing X-men righ now that's out of this world.

Firefly is a pretty cool Weddon creation, too. It was canceled after just one season, but you can probably rent it at Blockbuster. Like a western in outer space. :

Awesome man, I'll check out the x-men.
Are u into angel too? Season 1 can be had on amazon.com/bn.com/overstock.com for 15$ in their sales. One of the best thing as I mentioned is the batmanesque music, nice and deep.
I'm watching buffy/angel on dvd. Some episodes are really, really good. Becoming parts1,2; Hush when they film almost the entire episode without voices, stoopid jackasses at WB cancelled Angel

Yeah, we own the first 4 seasons of Angel, too. Great story lines. I like the way the writers throw soap opera/horror-fantasy/morality plays into a blender and come up with really amazing final products.

Hush might be the single best episode in the series. Very goundbreaking. I also really like the musical, which off the top of my head is about halfway through season 6.

The scores are super cool -- more movie-like than TV-like. Like you, I dig the fact that they are not afraid to kill or maim one of your favorite characters/make a likable character despicable, etc. So many other shows are contrived because you know that every friggin' week, no matter what, the main characters will escape some calamity unharmed. No suspense.
