Anyone a fan of Criss Angel?
Did anyone see Criss Angel - Mindfreak last night? It was a new episode and was intense! I know its just an illusion but he blows my mind...anyone else a fan?

I prefer David Blaine, mostly because I get the impression Chris Angel is his own biggest fan and a little too sophomoric.

I've seen his show once or twice and it's pretty cool. It would be interesting to see his act in person. NBC has a new reality show called "Phenomenon" and Criss Angel is one of the judges.

That's his pull, his allure. Unlike Blaine, he's flashy and while both rely on misdirection for their illusions, Angel is garish and so full of himself that for me, it detracts from any of his illusions. I can't get into him enough to enjoy his performances, even just for what they are,.....pure entertainment.
I still opt for David Blaine.
In the show you're talking about, aren't they pulling "stage magician" Geller out of the dark as well?
I'm intrigued by the concept, but I seem too challenged to separate the face he shows to the public camera when trying to "be himself", from the face he shows during a show, and I just think he's a twit.
But hey, that's just me,....it may be an age thing re: who he appeals to,...dunno.

His stage performances, or his "seance" like he produced, or his more layed back type of illusions? Do you have a preference? Or is it just Chris Angel in anything?
Out of curiosity, what's the appeal?

A fake what?
He is an illusionist, and he's a very good illusionist. His "game" is mindfreak and he does freak people's mind. All he's doing is misdirection, and he's good at it. So what exactly is he a fake at?
Did you think he was doing "real magic?"

Time to close this thread if you can't discuss this like a mature adult.

All magicians, in one way or another, are "fake" lol. That's why magicians are also known as illusionists.
