Nice call on Sean Penn, he is very talented. He only gets small parts, but Jared Leto is always playing a different type character ("Panic Room", "Fight Club", and his amazing performance in "Requiem for a Dream"). Plus his band "30 Seconds from Mars" kicks ass!

Ed O'Neil is actually an underrated actor IMO.

Sean Penn is a good actor too. Specoli. hehe.

I'm sure some may not agree with this but I don't think Kevin Spacey is that versatile. At least not the kind of versatility I'm thinking of. I think he's a good actor and he's in some great films but he doesn't really change much for a role. That's kind of the thing I see. People who are good actors, but basically the same characters in different roles are the biggest actors. Even though some can play different types of movies (like Bruce Willis going from Hudson Hawk to Sixth Sense) they aren't really that different themselves from role to role. On the other hand you have guys like Johnny Depp or Gary Oldman who can be like chameleons from role to role. They morph into the role.

Saw One Flew Over The CooKoo's Nest. That was a sad movie. I still gotta see Mystic River. Everyone and their dog's seen it but me.

I didn't even know who Jared Leto was until I went and checked IMDB. But ya, that's versatility.

Versitile: Robin Williams

Heck he's gone from a a psycopath in "Final Cut" to Mrs. Doubtfire, to a Counselor in Good Will Hunting to a... Mork!

One of my favorites!

I think that Robert Deniro and Kevin Spacey are the two best actors right now.

I'd also put Johhny Depp as my top actor, followed by Bruce Willis (Bandits... kickass), Robin Williams, Jim Carey and Brad Pitt.

As for the women i'm not quite sure...

I like most of that list TriplNipl but why Nicholas Cage? He's pretty much always Nicholas Cage in all his movies.

"once apon a time in america" another mob movie with, Joe Pesci,James Woods.

"Deer Hunter" vietnam movie with Chris Walken,Merl Streep

"Night and the City" great flick (boxing world)

"raging bull" boxing movie about Jack LaMatta, with Joe Pesci,Frank Vincent, and more.

"Taxi Driver", "jacknife", godfather 2, and I'm sure I missed a few.
