We aren't. At least I'm not. Good way to get into trouble. Just swap CDs from HD to HD with your friends (and of course erase them when you are done listening  - borrowing is OK, copyright infringement isn't). The video stores and netflix are full of DVD's to burn - err, I mean rent - watch once, and return. Yeah, that's what I meant to say.

There's a workaround for the WinMX problem. It may just be a temporary thing though. More info here.

I never had many problems with spyware or virsues on winmx, of course it wasn't that good anyway. Now kazaa, warez, porn sites - I hear they are really bad for that kind of thing, I would reccomend staying away from them. I've had to fix too many machines that got really messed up from going to those places. Remember a clean PC is a happy PC. I guess kazaa isn't an issue anymore - but most of the P2P sites seem to have the same problems.
How do 3N and Rats get paid for fixing 'puters? I have to do it for free. Oh wait, that's my fault - I started doing it for free when the local computer guys tried to rip me off. That just pissed me off and even though I've been out of the computer business since '90 I decided to re-educate myself and start up again.
It's worked out well, lots of happy people around here - except those two jerks.

Maybe if I lived in a very small town I would do it for free. Here in Los Angeles, if you do something for free, then you probably don't know what you're doing. Still, I charge half as much as the other computer guy who advertises in my local paper. |

What about Morpheus?
It's a pretty busy screen since it's ad driven. But a good popup blocker and daily spyware cleaning make it a managable bit of software. AV scans should be done pretty frequently too, but that goes with any P2P stuff.
