Comedies? Anyone Please?

I dunno about you, but I am missing the good 'ol comedies.... you know Airplane, Police Academy 1, Caveman (only).....uhhh, why can't I think of any others? There's more....damn. You know the completely outrageous ones...or hell, just something that's not predictable and that's not geared toward 12 and under? Lately it's been the tough guy taking care of out of control kids..... Come on.

Anyone seen ANY decent comedies lately?

sadly I only have a couple...in this order:

Harold and Kumar go to white castle
Undercover Brother
Hebrew Hammer
Van Wilder

I dunno like:

Office Space
half-baked....

Too serious lately...need some comic relief.... You?

Have you seen The Money Pit? Older movie with Tom Hanks if I'm not mistaken. First time I saw it I was laughing hysterically.

Get the british series "Coupling" - its the funniest thing ever. They only have like 7-8 episodes/season - so its all quality stuuf (until season 4).

For movies, I have:
Nine heads in a duffel bag
My Cousin Vinny.
The whole 9 yards.

But coupling is the best.

Old School was definitely great. Something related to Office Space is coming out soon. I don't think it's a sequel, but maybe something by the same director? Not sure yet.

Shaun of the Dead or Dodgeball! Since you like Airplane (and really, who doesn't?), any Leslie Nielson movie will do. The Naked Gun series is a must. The comedy genre just isn't what it used to be though. They don't make many of the over the top, slapstick, mind numbingly dumb funny movies anymore. Shaun of the Dead is probably the closest you'll get to what you're looking for.

office space, is the only newer one I still laugh at.
Mickey Blue Eyes, and 8heads.... were pretty good.

Alot of the new ones have only like 2-3 funny scenes in them.

some good classics are:
Porky's
Police Academy 1-2
Animal House
Neighbors
N.L. Vaction 1-3
Stripes
the jerk
anything with John Candy

oh yeah Kingpin is still a good one.

yeah, I got ya, I think that was based on true events, if so, that guy lunderguard was a sick pup, and not very bright.

actually some of the most funniset things I've seen the last few years is from "the Sopranos" those writers can come up with some stuff.
Johnny Sacks sitting on the crapper smokin a cig (no stall) talking to Tony (what the hell)
and theres the Big Vito and Raulfie scenes (too much).

I also forgot Johny Dangerously. It's quite the classic in my mind, Michael Keaton is hilarious.
