conan or conan

ok me and the wife had a slight difference in the pronunciation of conan. if i am right then conan on conan o'brian is pronounced conen with a quick e sound however conan the barbarian is pronounced conAn. the capitalization was meant to stress the actual sound of the A. come on now, tell me im right.
