just saw "devils rejects" (I don't watch many new movies) (I'll have to check out "1000 corpses, just found out "devils" was the sequel)

pretty violent, some parts were just dumb (like the shootout at the begginning) the rest was good

Captain Spawding (whatever his name was) was funny as hell, most of it was comical, (violant comedy), espiaclly some of the things otis says, real sicko imbreads aren't going to say things like "consider me willy f'ing ****a, this my chacolate factory mu''f'er" haha.

I saw "Old Boy", one of the best plot twists I've ever seen, second only to "Usual Suspects". It was actually a Korean film. "You were so busy trying to figure out who kept you locked up for 15 years that you didn't bother to ask why." Man, what a warped movie.

Speaking of warped asian movies, anyone else a fan of the Japanese director Takashi Miike? "Ichi the Killer" and "Visitor Q" were some of the most twisted movies ever created. I still have yet to see "Izo".

Oh, c'mon guys... HOSTEL is where it's at. What a messed up movie. I actively recommend against seeing it to people who haven't already.

I enjoyed Hostel, it was pretty intense. I need to do a search for these other movies you listed and see what they are like, but I'm not really into that kinda stuff.

I haven't seen it, but saw parts of it in a documentary: Audition. It's a Japanese horror flick that seems pretty twisted.

I saw it, another takashi miike gem. It makes "Fatal Attraction" look like "Sleepless in Seatle". Call me a wuss, but anytime I have to watch someone get a limb sawed off with piano wire, I get a bit squeemish. Like I said, NOBODY makes twisted movies like Takashi Miike.

I've seen Ichi The Killer but I'm having trouble finding Visitor Q. Ichi was actually pretty funny with its randomness. The hot oil scence...the dude getting chopped vertically in half...Those are something I remember from watching this a few months ago.

Another good japanese movie is Battle Royale!

Oh yeah, Battle Royale was awesome. The second one was alright, but not nearly as good. Little known fact, Takeshi Kitano is the main adult character in Battle Royale. He is also the the peronsality known as "Vic Ramano" on MXC!

so I saw "1,000 corpes" finally, good creepy movie the first 3/4, the final chasing scenes were just stupid and went way overboard, totally lost interest at the end. Nothing that was really too disturbing though.

"Audition", that movie was sick, definately lost my appitite for sometime and had me visioning those scenes, (I don't plan to watch it anytime soon again) it had a classic charm to it with the voilence and horror (unlike most films today that just go overboard).

"hostel" dcent story, with lots of nudity, good ending scene, however the "disturbing scenes" were a complete joke, the "eye ball" scene??? come on I could see her eye lid closed under the laytex, never lost my desire to eat for this one. (as expected they just tried too hard on it).

if you want to see a good "eye ball" scene watch the first "ZOMBIE" film, very cringing (plus you'll see the topless scubba diver, with real boobs)

other good oldies are "night of the zombies", and to see a girls nipple bitten off (close-up) watch "buryl grounds" (haven't seen that in like 15years, but I remember that scene), also "last house on the left" is pretty sick.

if anyone knows the title of this oldie let me know, where the girl is sitting in the car and is looking at this guy, and she starts bleeding from the eyes, and her insdes start coming out her mouth, can't remember the name, but I remeber the scene, I'd like to get hold of that flick?

Crazily enough, "Audition" was probably the most mainstream of Miike's stuff. I get chills just thinking of that last scene. Like I said, other good Miike films are "Visitor Q" (aka, the most f*cked up movie I've ever seen, bar none), "Ichi the Killer" (More blood and torture than any 10 movies should have), "Fudoh" (Think "Ichi" with kids instead), and I have to see "Izo", though I was warned by a friend that it wasn't as good as his other stuff. What could be bad about a maniacal time-traveling samurai that slashes to ribbons pretty much everyone he comes in contact with? The scene on a Japanese "Wall Street" looked awesome!

Wow what is it that drives people to go see horror movies? Do we as humans just enjoy watching others die? ... well who knows.

Yea I don't really like watching " scary " movies.. but the last one I've seen that was remotley scary was "The Grudge" which.. in retrospect.. was a stupid movie.

Movies that are "weird" are usualyl more scary to me then.. horror or murder films, I heard A Clockword Orange is supposed to be freaky..anyone seen it? I think its the same guy who made Visitor Q
