Disturbing Flicks

...Rob Zombie films... I've seen House of 1000 Corpses and just watched Devils Rejects... Talk about disturbing.. This guy has found a new niche in horror flicks.. They way they are done are truly unique IMO...worth checking out if you can stomach it.

"Irreversible", a french film, is about a F'ed up as it gets. Aronofsky's "Requiem for a Dream" was probably the most emotionally draining movie I've ever seen, I felt sick to my stomach by the end.

Anyone remember Faces of Death? Are some of the above mentioned more disturbing? These were documentaries on Death from the early 80's...

J4... the August Underground... what is it? Where were they made?

The others mentioned I'll keep an eye out for.... The Zombie films are sounding tame in comparison... but I am interested to see.

they were made in pittsburgh, pa and they are way more over the top then faces of death. theres realy no storyline. the premise is your watching these guys (2 guys 1 girl) videotape themselves killing and doing insanely crazy things. very shocking even though you know its fake. some of the things they do in these movies is just f''ed up. theres a website called toetagpictures.com its the company that released them. you can read alot there. the guy that stars/directs was a teacher at tom savinis make up and film school

I saw "The Hills Have Eyes" way back when it was first released to theaters in the late 1970's. I was living in San Diego at the time and was really creeped out by it.

The ending to Easy Rider (Peter Fonda & Dennis Hopper) really shook me up. I was a young and impressionable teenager at the time, and I had to ride a motorcycle home from the theater....

House of 1000 Corpses instantly came to mind just like you said. Faces of Death I've heard of, sounds kinda interesting/twisted.

For purely twisted, I challenge anyone to come up with something more disturbing than Takashi Miike's "Visitor Q". Any movie where a guy rapes and chokes a woman to death on film, carries the body home, Has sex with it (extremely graphically) again while in the process the body "evacuates", and he subsequently gets his penis stuck in the body as it goes into rigor mortis, is MESSED UP! On top of this there is sodomy, incest, murder, lactating in extreme amounts, sexual abuse, physical abuse, and just an overall uneasy feeling for the length of this film.

"Pink flamingo's" was something I don't plan on watching ever again, that was filmed in my area, it's real stuff to.

"bride of Frank" is another one I got from Howard Stren, it's some movie a bunch of college kids did, damn close to being "X" rated, it's not sexy at all.

"I spit on your grave" will have all the guys holding on for dear life to their "package"

I've seen all the "faces" they are okay.

Donnie Darko isn't disturbing necessarily, a bit odd, but it's just so confusing. Even if you watch the special features or commentaries, you're still left with a lot to think about.
