Don't Waste Your Money On This One
Collateral, w/ Tom Cruise.
Even he couldn't make this movie work. Talk about lame, we left in the middle of it.

As did I. By far the best movie I've seen this summer is The Notebook. Yes, I know its a chick flick but it worked for me.

AvP was surprisingly enjoyable too. I went into it thinking it would at best be an okayish way to kill an hour and a half and wound up really liking it.
I'd have to say best of summer goes to Spidey II though. They did a really good job from start to finish with that one.

You see, Tom Cruise just isn't good at playing bad guys. He's too much of a pretty boy.

I was really liking AVP until that lil romance thing at the end..I swear they were about to kiss
I wasn't really planning on seeing Collateral in the theater cuz well the previews look kinda dumb. I was happy to see Tom not looking nasty anymore thou!
I also think The Notebook was the best movie I've seen this summer. But I've liked most of the movies I've seen even the stewpid ones.

I have to disagree. I happened to think Collateral was one of the years best movies as do many of the other movie critics and reviewers I hang with. It was also one of Tom Cruises best films and I generally dislike Tom Cruise greatly. He CAN portray a villian very well (Look at Interview with the Vampire).
AVP just flat out sucked. They totally ruined the comic and Paul's vision for the movie. Hopefully, he will get his wish and the DVD release will be the R Rated version (The version HE made, not the one the studio cut up and released).

That is laughable, tom cruse as Lastat, that was one of his worst movies ever, and that is saying something. I can only think of one movie that Tom Cruies was any good in "Far and Away". Other than that he has been stinking up movie screens for years.
If you have ever read Interview with a Vampire, you would simply know that on his best day with all the taco's he could eat he couldn't hold Lastats jock strap.

Collateral is about the best film I have seen this year. Was too long, but what movie isn't these days?

I generally do not care for Tom Cruise, so I'll take your advice on this one. Too arrogant for my taste

As a matter of fact I have read Interview with the Vampire (Which I appreciate you assuming I have not) and for your Information, Anne Rice (The author) thought Tom Cruise could embodied Lestad perfectly. She could find nothing wrong with his performance and had nothing but praise for it.
But hey, what does the author know about her own character after all =)
