American beauty was cool because he was reliving his youth, lifting weights smoking grass, enjoying life - took the job with the least amount of responsibility he could possibly get.

The extortion he did to his boss leaving his real job was hilarious.

That's it! Thanks! What was your opinion of it and American Beauty? You've got some good ideas when it comes to movies?

What's you opinion on the best upcomming movie?

Other fav I forgot was Lord of the Rings. AMazing movie partly due to the fact you didn't need to read the book to understand what's going on.

I thought American beauty was excellent (Death of a Salesman for the 90's). I thought it was a tad overrated though. Still a great movie and I am a big fan of Kevin Spacey

As far as upcomming, I am looking forward to Kill Bill Vol1 and 2 (I LOVE Quentin Tarantino movies cept for Four Rooms). Mystic River looks to be promising although Eastwood has a bad habit of trying to push his moral views on his audience. The Return of the King (LoTR part 3) should be excellent considering its the best book in the series.

House of the dead is crap, I already have seen it and it has NOTHING to do with the video game, what worse Uwe Boll (The director) is doing a movie of "Alone in the Dark" which is arguably one of the best PC games ever. He is going to totally screw it up..

Scary Movie 3 should be great considering Kevin Smith had a hand in the screenplay and he is a comedic genius =).

I could go on about all the movies comming out (Elephant looks very promising for isntance) but I will stop there =)

I'm a HUGE fan of oddball movies or movies like AMerican Beauty that think outside the box and I think you and I have similar tastes with movies.

I'll look into Elephant and if you see Kil Bill beofre the rest of us, let us know how it is and what you thought. VERY GOOD point on Eastwood but should be interesting.

Other movies I liked Identity, I think Cusack is comming into his own and Seabiscuit from a purely story telling experience.
Thanks for the input

Wow, you didn't like four rooms? I thought it was great! Tim Roth's performance was ridiculously funny, and all the cameos had great lines. I quote lines from several parts of that movie all the time... including Tarantino's lines. The very last scene was classic.

I'm really looking forward to Kill Bill too.

Identity was awsome. They had actually filmed multiple endings so that even the cast didnt know who the killer was heh.

I have been a fan of Cusack since One Crazy Summer (Incidentally that was the first Jeremy Piven movie i saw as well heh).

Another recent flick that caught my attention for various reasons but sheer acting talent was Unfaithfull. Daine Lane was unbeleivabely good in that film. Story was old and done before but her skills as an actress really shined.

DOGMA was clever also! Loved the analogy Matt Damon's charcter had about all the religon being related to Disney films.

Four Rooms

Quentin Tarantino's "Four Rooms" all but sucked except the one room with the two kids whos dad was Antonio Banderas and left them on their own. That scene was hilarious! Actually even the last scene with the thumb wasn't bad, but the two kids...omg that was funny.
