I'm a big fan of Johnny Depp . . . fantatsic actor and he has some GREAT talent to play such diverse roles. A little strange personally at times but fantastic actor. He doesn't even live in Hollywood. Johnny and his wife and two kids live on a remote village in France.

Jakanden,

Do you like Depp as an actor? He falls in the same line as Tim Burton for directors as far as I'm concerned.

Movie favorites of Depp:

Pirates of the Caribean (sp?)
Edward Scissorhands
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
Donny Brasco I thought was excellent!
Chocolate
What's eating Gilbert Grape
Blow
Once Upon a Time in Mexico

I'm sure there is others but I can't remember! They weren't all great films or good ones for that matter but his acting skills in my opinion are second to none!

I love johnny depp as an actor. He seems like a young christopher walken in that he specializes in off the wall characters (Raoul Duke in Fear and loathing, Edward in Edward Scissorhands, Sam in Benny and Joon, etc..). I mean hell, he was once billed as Oprah Noodlemantra =)

The only thing is that he seems to make as many crappy movies as he does good movies. He is still a great actor in those movies, it's just the movies suck (Astronauts wife is prime example).

In your opinion what younger style actor has the best chance to make a big impact in films?

I was impressed with Tobey McGuire's role in Seabiscuit and Elijah's in LTR triology. Any word on Texas Chainsaw Massacre is going to be?

You heard any insights into on Indian Jones 4? Sounds like a 4th of July release in 05 and Harrison Ford and Sean Connory are back but it seems hush hush . . . .

I personally dug Jake Gyllenhaal's preformance in Donnie Darko. I think if he stays away from crap like Bubble Boy he will make a big impact. I also like Heath Ledger, but he needs to do more diverse roles. He was great in "10 Things I hate about you" and "A knights tale". WIthout him, I dont think either of those movies would have been any good. I think he will be a great actor for years to come.

As far as IJ4 the supposed cast includes Colin Hanks, Harrison Ford, Sean Connery, and John Ryhs-Davis with Colin Hanks playing the son of Indy (Perhaps he is the actual star?). The only thing CONFIRMED is that Harrison Ford is going to be Indy again and that the script is complete. Everything else is really speculation at this point =)

Fifth Element, damn that was an awesome movie. I remember when I first saw it, eveyrone thought it was too werid and practically no one saw it in theatres and everyone is discovering it for the first time now. It's a Luc Besson film, who also famous for "The Professional" which is another one of my fav movies. Anyways, how was "Confidence"? I heard it was good but never bothered to watch it.
