Direct Connect is quite good, irc is good if you know how to use it Kazaa is going downhill fast, winmx is ok for music I like bittorrent although most don't get fast speeds for some reason so I don't know how I get 110+ kbps lol.

limewire is really reliable. the downloads are usually fast, decent amount of search results. especially if you are into mainstream music you'll have no problems finding it. its really good because it causes no computer problems. its just a simple, reliable program. aires isn't good too but there are slightly less search results than limewire

I use Kazza Lite resurrection. It's simple and has less potential viruses than most of file-sharing programs.

I second bittorrent. But that is really for big files, not single songs (not that any of us would pirate music)

I've tried limeware and kazza, but both won't install. It allways comes up with an error. I'm looking for something that has movie files (UFC and Prde) to back up my copies i have allready purchased of course.

I only do iut with kazaa lite when my dad isn't awake or isn't home (which is like never) otherwise i'll get grounded. I mostly get my music from friends or the library now. I have 8 gigs of downloaded music thought (not bad for a 56ker).

Personally, I found Tesla/Filetopia to great for my connection... Plus there is no spyware and it's really easy to manage your files...

I've found WinMX to be very reliable for music, video, & zips.

Last time i used WinMX it was very slow and only did 1 source so if they went offlinje then your were screwed. I've heard it's a lot better. Tesla is cool but you have to kinda know what you are doing and connect to the right groups. I'd say Tesla is king now specially for the underground.
