Final Fantasy: Advent Children released.

Just got a chance to watch it tonight. The visuals were nice, and the combat scenes were some of the best I've scene in that genre of animation. Only downside is that anyone who hasn't played the game will probably not understand the plot at all because they wont know the background. All in all I think it was worth watching.

Anyone else have an opinion on it?

I've watched it 4 times now. Visuals were nice? Understatement of the century. The CG and animation in that movie is completely unrivaled. If you've seen anything that looks nicer then that movie. Let me know. As for the battle scences, I guess that's more subjective material. I think they were the greatest ever made to date for this genre of animation. And although the movie is a direct continuation 2 years after the game, it is still completely enjoyable and understandable for the people who haven't played through the game. But, you're right - they certainly won't get the full effect of it at all. Although that's no reason to avoid it! All I can say is if anyone has seen the movie Final Fantasy: Spirit's Within. Don't think of that movie AT ALL when you watch this one. The title is the only thing they have in common. That movie SUCKED. Assuming 10 is the highest score I can give a movie. Advent Children get's a 100, and Spirit's Within get's a -10.

hey you know when the bad guy leader injects cloud's materia into his arm, which gives him the ability to summon bahamut, the color of the materia is green. but in the game, green is for MAGIC materia. summon was orange. just nitpicking but whatever
