Hero

Just saw it on Friday, was anyone else a little disappointed? Jet Li barely does anything in the entire movie. Some good fight scenes, but not much else.

Yeah, its 2 years old actually. Miramax just brought it to the US, I'm guessing that is why they keep putting Quentin Tarantino's name on it even though it doesn't seem he had anything to do with making it.

Well, they just made it seem like this big movie of Jet Li vs. a giant army, when in reality he barely injures anyone and doesn't actually kill anyone through the entire movie. The whole movie is more or less a few cool fight scenes centered around a few tragic suicides. Through the whole thing you want to see Jet Li whoop some ass, but it doesn't happen. The only ass whooping is done by the other 2 badass fighters.

Ever seen Cradle 2 the Grave? I thought it was awesome. Jet Li definitely kicks some ass (included about a dozen UFC fighters in a cage). As much as people are going to dis DMX, I think he's a pretty good actor and a good pair for Li.
