I agree it was hyped up a little too much, but overall it was a good movie...
But I like situational movies that make you believe such things can happen.... thats what makes a movie scary... what if?
wanna see another good movie? CLOVERFIELD! It was awesome... fricken monster didnt stop destroying ****! it was actually scary enough where I was scared to go home afterwards.

I had forgotten about this thread. I went to the theater to see this one. It's just a remake of Omega Man. Not worth the effort in my opinion. Had I not seen the Omega Man it would have been better. But since I had...just a waste of time. Now I wish I'd seen National Treasure 2 instead.

National Treasure 2 was pretty good. Last movie I saw at the theater, just because I had family in town. Ordinarily, I prefer to just rent. Even brand new movies are under $3 at Family Video, I can make my own popcorn for pennies, and I can enjoy some beer or wine with my movie.

I was enjoying the company. So the beer or wine wasn't an issue. Neither was the movie really.

The only sucky part of it was how it varied from the book. For those of us who tend to read the books either more, or first, admittedly when the movie comes out, comparisons can't help but be made. More often than not I can separate the two, and enjoy each for what they are, but in this case, the ending was basically a polar opposite.
Much like 30 Nights.
Either that, or I get too hung up on vampire movies. That's always a possibility...they're easy to,....pick apart and digest......and enjoy.
