going back to the godfather (the driver), that driver in philly actully got wounded, he was picked-up here in baltimore (in a bakery) and tried as a witness, he got a sentance for "perjury" so from that he was considered "stand-up". the boss who got hit that night was setup by his powerful 2nd or 3rd in command, he was doublecrossed himself (the guy who backed him, really didn't back him), then the same thing happen to the new boss a year later, and again the guys responsible were double crossed.
when "big Paul" got hit they hit his driver also, they sure didn't need his driver for the setup.
