I choke up a little every time I hear
Only 19 by Redgum ( YouTube - Redgum - I Was Only 19 (1983))
I was 19 when I finished Basic Training and one of the boys had this song playing while we were packing up.
I remember looking around at all my mates who'd shared those 6 weeks and thinking that in another time and place this song (and the pain it talks about) would have been ours.
There but for the grace of god go we (not that the 19 year old soldiers of today haven't got their own war mind you - but nobody's singing songs about it yet).
For those that are procrastinating like I am, an Aussie Hip Hop group recently recorded a cover of Only 19 and it's actually pretty damned good have a look here if you want to compare the two (the first link above is the original - obviously).

you guys listen to a broad selection of music! I am a fan of the artist, and the making of art in every song. I listen to Mostly New Alternative rock and RnB <--- what a combination huh? right now I always listen to Chevelle, System of a Down, and Korn when im at the gym... when im at home relaxing ill listen to alot of the 90's rap, like tupac, bone thugs, all the good stuff........ when im out and about on the weekends, its kind of hard to get away from the newer stuff, all the new rap/hiphop, and the new alternative hits. when I go tanning they play alot of pop, country and new rock, like chris dautry for example... when Im alone with my girlfriend we like to listen to stuf like Jagged Edge, Aaliyah, Dru Hill... Incubus.... nice soft sweet love making music.....
top 5 songs of mine are.
Dru Hill-Beauty
Aaliyah-One in a Million
Bonethugs n Harmony-Shoot em up
Chevelle-Straight Jacket Fashion
System of a Down-DARTS

Westside, you've probably heard of disturbed its alot like korn, a matter of fact i think they sing a few songs together. haha all my weights are in the garage and i got a sweet sound system in the car so i just drive it up near the garage and crank it while doing weights, works a treat i tell you!

yea, david draiman is pretty bad ass.. you prolly refering to the queen of the damned... jonathan created or at least assisted in all the beats and lyrics, and had all the other bands play them, and hes also sings them himself in his own version.
like forsaken... kick ass song. I wouldnt say theyre alike though. other than the fact they are both hard, disturbed is your classic type hardcore band, and korn has that more techno-ish beat sometimes.
both very good bands though. Id say chevelle and S.O.A.D.(older stuff anyways) blow them out of the water anyday

Lately, the one that absolutely tears me up (in a very good way) is "You Are" as perfomed by my Kimberly.

what about Tim Mcgraw and Faith Hill - I need you... , or My Best Friend. My girl turned me onto those two. It is relaxing, and I cant help but to kiss her when I hear them.

Having seen Van Halen in concert (David Lee's wearing my panties,....anyone who knows what that's about, knows about the pairs of jeans made for him,...I'll delve no further as no doubt Mr. P feels this is a little TMI).....Jaster, I'm,....I'm,......hyperventilating.
How can you compare Van Halen and Van Hagar?
Sammy's good in his own right, basically.
But David's showboating (which caused contention, among a few other things, one of which did involve Gene Simmons),....MADE that band. Not to undermine Eddie's playing. And I, too, adore Anthony and would way rather see him than Wolf up there,...I have been given tickets to see them on this leg of their tour but I'm not sure I want to see them again.
I just had to comment on that,....David or Sammy,....dun't mattah? Oooh, them is fightin' words!!

Love Disturbed, love KORN, love Linkin Park, Sepultura (okay, those thrash metal haters can take up arm and nag me),...
I'm really digging Corey Taylor singing with Apocolayptica right now (my new favorite band, who,....lucky, lucky me,....I am fortunate enough to see them on their first leg tour in a small venue, something they will never do again. I have a fortunate opportunity. Man it pays to know people).

PS: No comment on who touches the loins the most? (Waiting for this to be banned).
That would be a toss up between Ville Valo and Pertto Kivilaakso. Yep, yep, yep,....be still my heart.
Heck it has to count for something in the music genre doesn't it? I mean,...if it,...."moves" you? (Or, if you're fortunate enough to have them move you?) And I've only got 2 weeks until I get my pouncy chance.
(It must be the hormones. Bear with me guys).
