Sweet, another A7X fan. I just can't stop listening to those guys. They're a talented bunch! The new single is called "Burn it down" I think. It's a bit more mellow, but still kickass.

Edit: You're right about Unholy Confessions though... that song puts the ember in dismembered.

I just went to OZZFEST last week, Iron Maiden ripped that place apart, they by far stole the show from everyone on the main stage. Rob Zombie really blew everyone away as well. In my eyes though he looks like he dosnt really want to perform anymore he would rather stick to movies i think.

A band that you must check out well there a few

Bury Your Dead
Soilwork! (great band)

I have to agree wit the trivium nomination, they wre really good. Ohh yea and hey jada pinket smith's band wicked wisdom was boo'd off the stage!

Glad to see Iron Maiden still kicks ass. I'm a big fan but their hayday was before me time so I never got to see them in concert in their prime.

Man, I just can't get into a lot of the newer metal bands. So many times I hear one of the newer metal bands it ends up the same: starts with a great guitar riff, then some talentless screamer comes in with the vocals and it ends up sounding like the 50 other metal bands out right now. Does anyone know of any that are beyond that?

Have you checked out 3 Inches of Blood? They're new, but to me they sound like Iron Maiden is their primary source of inspiration.

Well, I have to admit they do scream inbetween singing, but Avenged Sevenfold has some excellent sung & played melodies going on. The new single "Burn it Down" would give you a good sampling of their range & talent if you have time to give it a listen.

I think you're right about Rob. With each interview that he gives, he comes closer & closer to saying that his next album will be his last.

My Ozzfest Tix are for September 2nd, so I'm going to be seeing Velvet Revolver instead of Iron Maiden. Maiden would've been cool to see, but I've only recently gotten into them and I've been a fan of G&R & STP for much longer.

That's too bad to hear about Jada's band. While I predect that their music may not be at the top of my listen list, I hate to see anyone get booed off stage unless they're just a complete ass like Courtney Love or something.

Thanks wolf, I'll check them out. If they're influenced by Iron Maiden I'll probably like them cuz I'm a huge IM fan. You can hear their influence on Alice In Chains and System of a Down. Both of which I like. I'll check them out and Avenged Sevenfold.

Have you heard S.o.a.D.'s new album? Man that thing is incredible! I only wish they hadn't split it into two albums when there's barely enough material there for one...

Ya I think it's their best album yet! I'm going to see them in October. You're right about splitting it up too. I don't know what that was about.

You guys can thank me later .

Dark, I been listening to that Trivium cd everyday now, I still haven't ckecked-out "In Flames" yet, what I like about Trivium and soilwork is that they DO have some good singing in the chorus (I think thats it) in every song it's not deep yelling through the whole thing, but I get used to that after I listen to something good like that while working-out, I'm listening to this stuff even while I'm not training now :

I'm jealous man. They're (S.o.a.D.) not coming anywhere near here, or at least not that's been announced yet.

Just 2 more weeks till Ozzfest for me! Trivium is definitely one of the top 5 bands I'm looking forward to seeing. I hear they've been throwing down some of the best performances at Ozzfest all summer, so it should be a good time. I'll post pix of them from backstage if I remember to take out the camera.

I think Avenged's new album is their best one so far. Waking the Fallen was good -- I listened to it probably over 50 times -- but I was never a fan of their screams. I don't think Shadows is that good of a screamer. He needed to get throat surgery because he burst a blood vessel from all the screaming so he doesn't scream at all in the new album and his voice has changed. The guitarists also improved greatly and the production is much better.

okay, this is going to come straight out of left field, but if you haven't done so, you have GOT to listen to the music from Pirates of the Caribbean!

i've got the volume maxed out and it's ***wonderful***!

no word of a lie, must be the harmonics or something, cause this stuff is actually getting me a little warm under the collar, lol.

3n i got the pirates of the carribean soundtrack after watching the movie several times (yes its that good! ) and the music is maddd especially like 'Moonlight Serenade' its just the whole atmosphere that the brass instruments create, its divine.
