They have been talking about it and postponing it forever - all i can say is about time!

Its going to be the same setup as the Indianna Jones set. 3 Disc of collectors edition movies with 1 disc of bonus features.

Even the fact that this collection will likely have Greedo firing first won't keep me from rushing out to preorder it

And you know, the changes themselves don't even bother me all that much. I can certainly see the merit in going back and cleaning up effects or tightening up something that slipped through the original editting process and I can even live with significant content changes (additional scenes or the aforementioned Greedo nonsense) PROVIDED the original is still available for those pursists among us.

That was pretty much my reaction to the colorization craze in the 80s/90s...you want to colorize Casablance or The Maltese Falcon, fine...you own the rights, it's your movie.

Just let those us so inclined still see it the way it was originally offered and there won't be any trouble.
