Ronnies 'Cost of redemption'
what can I say ... I'm speechless, I mean I know Ronnie is a big man but my good Lord he makes ****house films about himself.
worst PoC I have seen in a while (and I watched Harold and Kumar go to white castle last night so that gives you perspective).
No story, just random snippets of his life with even more random commentary (BTW is Ronnie special?).
Best line of all (and bearing in mind the dude is huge, way bigger and stronger than I could ever hope to be, surely he has some idea of how to train) *after completing 3 hours in the gym working 10-15 rep sets on his chest/tris*
"ya'll don't get big doin' this ... whooo ... you ain't human" (dammit and here I was thinking I was terrestrial ... guess not eh?).
do not waste your bandwidth guys.

He's not the one that did the editing. A story was not expected.
For a film that documents his training and preparation for the Mr. Olympia contest i thought it was good.

i've watched a few of these s/c documentaries - i notice they never show the WHOLE routine (how many mg, how often, how they rotate injection sites, etc). they also don't show the diet. so there's all these poor bastard noobs watching this vid thinking all they have to do is lift heavy stuff too much and they'll get big automatically.

Lol they show which supps he uses, the legal ones anyways. You can see all of them on his counter.
Ronnie has more supplements than a walgreen's pharmeceutical section does.

True he did not edit the film, but if it'd been me I would have demanded a pre-sale preview and expressly denied them the right to sell it once I'd seen the kind of dross it had turned out as.
Why was no story expected ? I mean I was not expecting 'Schindlers list' type depth but some form of common narrative or minor filmic cohesion would have gone a long way .
Documents his training pretty well that's true but it is not in the least bit entertaining and, if you do not have an idea of proper training principles going in, treating this vid as an educational tool is a bad idea.
And I dunno what 3 is talking about, they show all his supps and enough of his meals that you get an idea ... this and the lifting is all that is involved in his achievements ... is he diabetic ? what injections are you talking about ?
Oh and what is with the guy who owns the gym (AKA Ronnies bitch) ... borderline .... very very borderline.
Having seen this why did I download 'the unbelieveable' ? (not much better, but gives you a great idea of how strong the man is ... front squats with a 5 wheeler YIKES!!)

injections? that would be the steroids, and they do show his diet in the one video I saw. I'm not sure what narrative you are looking for, I found it really interesting, the only narrative you really need is knowing that he is training for Mr. Olympia. The rest is just watching him train, and that is really all he can and will provide, he's not going to dance for you and wear a little hat on his head and pretty red shoes. Not all documentaries have to provide narrative, if you ever watch a snowboarding movie or other extreme sports movie they just show footage of these athletes doing amazing things, no real narrative other than where they are and what they are doing.
if you want a story, watch a movie.

http://www.limewire.com to all who want to the the vids ( http://katz.ws if you want to get limewire pro and do it in half the time )
I think you might have missed my meaning with the 'narrative' remark Dins, I do not mean narrative in the sense of a mans voiceover but more like a common cohesive story, rather than a scrapbook of random pieces of Ronnies existence.
This movie would be good broken into about 50 1 minute lifting clips, it gains nothing from the interim parts IMO.
worth looking at for the feats of strength and seeing what a truly large man looks like lifting weights, but basically I maintain they're crap.
to each his own though.
Any to anyone who has a broadband connection and too much free time I can msn the files to you if you're so inclined, PM me if ya want .
