Scary video games

What do you think are some scary video games?

Silent Hill 1 for psx, This game was very scarey the first time I played it and wasn't really noticed untill it spawned many sequels after the original one.

Aliens vs predator 2, this game was freaking scary the first time I played it, now I don't jump much. Plus the Ai is kind of retarded.

System Shock 2, this game is always scary too me, even when I play it now. I jump just because I hear sounds.

The Resident Evil series was good, but not a patch on Silent Hill. I'm never going near a school at night time.

I'm getting it for xbox this week. When it is released, hopefully they didn't dull down and cut out too much from the xbox version.

residnet evil was a good one...i used to not play that game after 6(after dark)
when i was little i did not take baths, go to restroom, go to dark places, or outside after 6:00 p.m. I was a scared little guy

I think the first Resident Evil was by far the best. Probably because I was younger when I played it compared to Resident Evil 2, but I just remember that crows scared the CRAP out of me because of that game.

doom 3 is a good one for making you jump but the story is not really scary

I'll second that sentiment. When I started playing that game, I knew there was going to be demonic stuff jumping out at me eventually, but the very first one still made me jump half way out of my seat.

I loved that part of the game. Walking down a quiet hallway. Then bam, all the crows crash through the winds. (it was at night all lights out and I was alone). I just about pooed myself. LOL. I still say RE2 was the best.

Geez.. I was scared playing Half-Life that game gave me the creeps along with Doom 3, but I never finished it..i played for 10 min and I stopped.. lol. I hate getting scared, I like the thrill of rollar costers and of water skiing but not scary stuff.
