Abortion is a very touchy subject, some people are pro-choice, pro-life..The simplest characterization, a pro-choicer would hold that the decision to abort a pregnancy is to be made only by the woman and the state has no right to interfere, while a pro-lifer would hold that, life imposes on us a moral obligation to preserve it, i would fall on being a pro-lifer.. for me, abortion is tantamount to murder. I apologize if I've started a discussion that's been had before but I've never come across a discussion on these issues on DF and I'm very curious to hear what people think.

Here's an idea... people who don't want kids or can't afford having kids need to either control themselves or practice safe sex. If people took more responsibility then abortions would not need to exist. Rape is a different concern but even then... I don't know. I am Conservative and Christian and I view life as everything happening for a reason.

The reason that you haven't seen these discussions before is because the general chat section where they took place has been closed.

Apparently these discussions tend to hit a little too close to home and strike sensitive nerves in folks on either side of the issue.

It was determined by the Admin and Mods that this type of discussion doesn't belong on a fitness board so we don't have it here.
