Stephen King: The Perfect Storm

I just watched it. (Not a big King fan)

But to anyone who has seen it, who was Colm Feore supposed to be? Not immortal, not the Devil, he is capable of death and dying, and cannot control everything,...

So what the frig is this dude?

Okay so either no Stephen King fans, or no Perfect Storm fans.

Hmm,.....

Back to the drawing board.

I like SK, but haven't seen the movie, sorry!

Is it in theaters now? We ususally just wait until movies come out on DVD and rent them. It's cheaper, I can make cheap popcorn, I can have some beer or wine, and I can watch in the comfort of my own couch (and pause when I have to go to the bathroom!).

I don't go to theatres, they're too loud.

I wait for the DVD's. With the amount of water I drink I need to hit the pause button quite a bit.

I notice a divide between King "movie lovers" and King "book lovers" -- usually because they bastardize the books.

I'd be more in the book lover range. Actually, I can't think of any of the movies I've seen besides It and The Green Mile (very well done).

The Green Mile made me cry. I'm a cryer, but not usually for these types of things,.....but that movie made my gut wrench and definitely made me cry.

I like books (mostly because they're portable).

One thing I don't understand though, honestly: I guess I don't understand the Stephen King love. His writing, "mostly but not always," just doesn't do much for me and I find his endings too abrupt.

the perfect storm is the one with the nuclear reactor, or some type of disease gets out right? its another doomsday type of movie? Dobber from the Citcom coach is in it, and he keeps spelling everything with the word moon? like example: M. O. O. N. that spells Discuss fitness! LoL

I dint remember it well. cant tell you who the guy is your thinking of?

Nope, its about a some kind of blizzard storm. Colm Feore is some sort of devils advocate and kills people on the island through their minds all while sitting in a jail cell. Its actually quite a good movie. Came out in the mid to late 90's I think.

When I saw the perfect storm, it was a movie about maine fishermen that sank on a boat. The halloween 2000 storm I think...maybe 2003? IDK when it was.

A king movie of the same name? I'm not familiar with it. Sorry. I do like my scary stuff but don't know that one.
