Terminator 4

Jakaden's hype thread was getting very confusing, so I figure I'll start a thread about just ONE movie.

So, they're talking about T4...with NO Arnold. He is obviously very busy with that whole running California thing.

So, how do you think it should go? I think the story should take place during the War...you know the war that you see in all those little clips throughout the movies? I love those scenes, where a bunch of Terminator robots are walking on piles of human bones.

The main character should definitely be John Connor, leading the humans. However, Reese should also have a big role.

The movie should be about the humans learning of a time-travel machine being built by the machines. When they get to the machine to destroy it, they find out that Arnold (small cameo?) is being sent back in time, so they quickly send Reese back. This is the end of the movie, and also brings the saga around full circle.

Any thoughts?

The movie will focus on John Connor and the rise of the resistance. That much has been known since pre T3. Ahnold might have a part in it as they are thinking about waiting for him to get a chance (Same for Conan 3). T5 is also being tinkered with =)

I've been waiting for Conan 3 forever. T4 and T5 will be cool, but I think Conan 3 if done right could be the movie that puts Ahnold back on top, if only for a short while.

i've heard the rock and vin diesel being talked about as the possible choices to replace him.

personally i'd rather see vin do it... the rock kinda looks funny.

The Rock is going to be doing Doom (Which has FINALLY been greenlit) and he is up for a role in Conan but not as Conan. Conan will be older in this one and the movie will most likely have alot to do with his kin and not as much about him.

Hate to say it folks, but I think Arnold's movie career is over. He is doing great things in California right now, and he will only move up from there.

There wasn't much to miss The evil terminator in T3 was so much less frightening that the one from T2, the overall movie was nothing special.

Arnold's getting too old to play a terminator. He was still huge in T3, but his waist is getting noticebly wider and he looks noticibly older. I'd rather not see a wrinkled old man attempt to play an ageless robot.

Conan's another story. If they set it when Conan is older and is a King, that's fitting :. If they make someone else Conan, I doubt I'd watch it.

Its possible he may come back as the human that the Terminators were based on, but it is doubtful he will be back as a terminator at this point.

my opinion, t3 was overhyped and a dissapointment from the original terminator, as well as t2. Better effects but i dont know i definitely did not get the kind of thrill i got out of the first one, or the second. So a t4 with no arnold sounds pretty lame to me.

I am a huge Terminator fan in fact T2 is my all time favorite film. I deffinatly think that t4 should be made even in the old man isn't in it. I also think that Luca Brasi idea is a very good one and i wouldn't be disappointed one bit if that how it turned out.
