Thai Boxing Movie

I was recently in Thailand with a friend and we stayed with one of his friends. We then watched a Thai action movie that would be like a fighting movie over here but it used Thai Boxing. The main character was incredible! The things he would do! Trust me if anyone saw it over here it would be the number#1 movie of the year because it was also very well made and looked like a professional U.S produced movie. In case none of you know what Thai boxing is, it is like kick boxing but instead of using your fists and feet, they use their elbows and knees which can do severe amounst of damage, some thai boxers have even been killed. Since the elbow and knee are close to your main torso and therefore harder to hit someone with, what they do is they launch themselves at the enemy like a rabbit or something. I was completely amazed at some of the stuff they could do. Anyway, I'll try to find a link but if someone here has seen or heard of it let me know.

Thai Boxing is one of the most effective and deadly forms of martial art out there. A good thai boxer can take down almost anyone. The only problem with it is finding a good teacher.

I doubt it would be a blockbuster movie over here considering the tastes of western audiences. They are very fickle. Take Croutching Tiget, Hidden Dragon for instance. It was not really that great a movie, but for many people it was thier first immersion in the kung fu world, so they were enthralled. People who have been watching martial arts movies for years were like "Eh its ok".

Dont argue with me about movies!! I am the movie god of this forum!

In all seriousness, I don't doubt that its good and I will try to find it, but trust me, it would not do good with mainstream audiences regardless of the quality. Iron monkey is a perfect example of an excellent Kung Fu movie that relativley bombed because audeinces are not ready for it. I do movie reviews and am a member of a number of critic societies, trust me on this =)

Thanks djzen, I'm gonna check that out. I love Thai boxing. Except when someone lands a good elbow or knee on me. Then I hate it until I recover.
