Something about that just made me laugh.
What's really funny......is to see musicians that sing really depressing songs with lyrics like:
"I hate my mother,
Shes gonna die, Imma stab that bitch,
Burn in hell mom, while I sing this song,

then when interviewed about some controversy over it they say it "in no way is related to their personal life" |

yeah lol. i think the funniest stuff is moderm punkrock where everyone is like "i'm a little bitch and poud. i'm never going to grow up, im gonna be a whiny little bitch forever" etc etc

Yeah it's hilarious. It's actually a scary thought to imagine a 60 yr old man with punk tattoos and "Punk 4 Life" tattoo on his face or something. Then when you walk across his lawn he moans out through his false teeth: "Get off my lwan yah punk little bitch! This is my crib yo!"

The Darkness = one trick pony. It's amusing the first time you hear them but then you realise that all their songs are exactly the same, and they all really really suck.
Other bands that suck include the Strokes, the Kings of Leon and the Thrills.

I have to admit that I kinda like em too. I like the song "Get your hands off of my woman" better than the first single, but hey... to each their own. That lead singer has some serious wardrobe issues, I guess it's allowed if you're a rock star, eh?

I saw a picture of Kurt Cobain wearing a shirt that says it best
"Punk is Dead" All this good charlotte, blink 182, anyother whiny teens bitching about thier dad's...none of that is punk!!!!
Real punk rock, go listen to Rancid, NOFX, Bad religeon, Pennywise etc. all their lyrics are critiques of society in one way or another they aren't just empty whiny teenage angst. |

Man i love bad religion and NOFX. I thought NOFX was the coolest group growing up... never realized any political messages but it was pretty cool. Taught me some good things: "drugs are good", lol.
