TV Shows that are embedded into your brain....
What t.v. shows do you remember the most, from your past?
I remember:
Mork and Mindy (Nanu-Nanu)
Family Matters
Dinosaurs
The Simpsons
Step by Step
My So Called Life
Full house
That's pretty much it, at the moment..... Which t.v. shows do you vividly remember from your childhood?

I watched a ton of wrestling (WWF) and sports as a kid. As far as TV shows I remember watching Thundercats, GI JOE, Darkwing Duck, Duck Tales, pretty much all the great 80's cartoons, Saved by the Bell (favorite show of all time!), Step by Step and Mr. Bean.

These are probably too far back for a lot of you guys, but here are some of mine. And half of these were black and white.
Leave it to Beaver (Still great)
Smothers Brothers (I use to laugh so hard I would start to cry)
The man from uncle (after watching them I would dress in black and go out and climb every tree and building in my neighborhood)
Tarzan had the same climbing effect without the black clothes every Saturday morning.
The Rifleman (this was the best time for a guy that loved westerns)
Red Skelton show and Laugh in
The three stooges and abbott and costello
Playboy after dark just in time for my puberty years.
The tonight show with Johnny Carson

OK Bob, let me give you a little competition.
The Superman series (black & white and later in color) - I have the 1st year 26 episode series on DVD thanks to Costco.
Batman
The Green Hornet
The Beverly Hillbillies
Petticoat Junction
My Mother the Car
The Munsters
The Adams Family
Bonanza
Gunsmoke
Have Gun Will Travel
Daniel Boone
Sanford and Son
All in the Family
Saturday Night Live (during the Steve Martin, Dan Akroyd, Gilda Radner, Jane Curtin, Garrett Morris era)
I'll stop and maybe get back to this later.

Is that cause I'm so mature
I used to watch Alf (forgot about it til you mentioned it) but I'm not sure if it was reruns.
I also fell in love with lots of old sitcoms in rerun on Nick at Nite....Dick VanDyke Show, All in the Family, I Love Lucy, stuff like that, back when TV was much more wholesome.

The ones I remember are more along the lines with pierini's. In addition to his list (all of which I remember watching) add to that stuff like:
I Dream of Jeannie
Green Acres
Bewitched (black & white)
Ed Sullivan (oh what barriers he crossed, hmm?)
Dr. Zhivago (not a TV movie, but that was the first movie I ever saw at a theatre. That's a great children's flick, innit? Nice intro....).
Swan Lake (the first stage theatre production I went to and it was the first album I ever got. I was never a kid).
(And for the record, there is no other SNL without the original cast! I never could get into any subsequent episodes after the first members left,...they totally made it!)
And this list doesn't even delve into the foreign movies I watched growing up.
Other TV memories,.....-->
I Love Lucy (black & white)
Dark Shadows (the series I'd watch daily, B&W, with great enthusiasm!)
ZOOM (Z-double-Oh-Em, Box 350, Bah-ston, Mass, oohhh, two one,...three four! Send it to ZOOM!) Dear God I remember the address jingle too! How bad is that?
H.R. Puffenstuff (with Jimmy and his magic flute and the witch)
Combat
I-Spy
Night Stalker (way before Stuart Townsend,...I'm talking the original)
Twilight Zone (black & white)
Flintstones (the FIRST show I ever saw on our brand new colour television! We were eating Kraft macaroni & cheese on our TV trays -- remember those? -- so we could watch TV together & just not miss a thing).
The Jackie Gleason Show (And awwaaaaayyy we goooo!) (Not the same as the show with Norm and Alice!)
Lawrence Welk (I liked the women dancers and the bubble machines,.....plus it was family time with my grandparents, so I watched whatever it took. They were very selective and protective).
Hollywood Squares
Laugh-In
The Gong Show
Sonny & Cher
The Jackson Five
.

I have very fond memories of the Lawrence Welk show as I would watch it with my grandmother whom I was very close to. Life seemed so safe and comfortable at her home.
Many years ago I got into watching Lawrence Welk reruns on public television and I regularly watched them because each time I did I had many pleasant memories of my grandmother who went to heaven over 33 years ago.
Forgot about the Jackie Gleason Show - Frank Fontaine who played the singing drunk Crazy Guggenhein (spelling??) stands out clearly in my mind.
Add the Andy Griffith Show to this list. I have a DVD of old black & white episodes. Barney was the best.

OMG - this is too good a nostalgia thread not to participate.
Bob, Merrida and Pierini, I know them all, but what about these (I was a game show addict as a kid)
Dialing for Dollars
Truth or Consequences
Let's Make a Deal
Jeopardy (with Don Pardo)
- Oh and remember when Hugh Downs was a game show host and women were not usually news reporters?
Front Page Challenge (for the Canadians out there)
Reach for the Top ( I was invited to be on my HS team but didn't)
Gilligan's Island
Get Smart
The Flip Wilson Show
Sonny and Cher
Carol Burnett
Merv Griffin
"Here Come the 60's" then "Here come the 70's" with a Styx song as the theme
The Man from U.N.C. L. E.
The Avengers (always wanted a black leather jumpsuit like Emma Peel)
The Dean Martin Show
Walt Disney on Sunday nights
Captain Kangaroo
The Gentle Giant
Rocky and Bullwinkle
The Bugs Bunny and Roadrunner Show
Star Trek
Midnight Special
Saturday Night Live
SCTV - (Second City)
Mary Tyler Moore Show
The Dick van Dyke Show
Dragnet
Perry Mason
Twilight Zone
Jackie Gleason in the Honeymooners
The first "grown up" movies I saw at the theatre were Bullet with Steve McQueen and about the same time Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
Hey Flash - do you remember the cartoon : The Terrible Thunder Lizards?

I don't remember Jeopardy with Don Pardo, but I do remember it with Art Fleming, black & white vintage. Don't know who came first.
Let's add Sea Hunt and F-Troop to the list.
And let's add Queen for the Day to the list.
Can't forget Divorce Court, black and white vintage, with Judge Wapner.
The Jack Benney Show (is that you Rochester?)

After reading the others, my brain started to remember a few more.
Hogan's Heroes I know nothing.
To Tell the Truth
Was this the show where 3 people came on and said they were the same person and the panel tried to figure out which person was really the person?
Friday Night Boxing
My dad always watched Friday night boxing and had a beer and saltine crackers that came in a big square of 4 crackers.
Family Feud
Newlywed Show
The Little Rascals
The Real McCoys
Sky King
The puppet dog that would sing N E S T L E S nestles make the very best chocolate.
Shows with animals
Mr. Ed
Lassie
Rin Tin Tin
Flipper
Gentle Ben
Cartoons
Popeye
Mighty Mouse
Remember the theme song - Here I come to save the day.
Space Ghost was the first cartoon I saw in color.

CF-OC Gal, I've never heard of that cartoon but it does have an interesting name!
I also have to add Welcome Back Kotter to the list. I obviously didn't watch it in its day but I caught some Nick at Nite reruns as a kid and loved that show! "Up your nose with a rubber hose!"

You are correct Bob about To Tell The Truth. I remember watching that show and a similar one that followed it called What's My Line.
I'll get back with more stuff later. I'm off to watch a boxing match.
