Ok so i finally gave in and bought this before half-life 2 came out. Anyone else in the same situation? I'm really loving this game, best graphics engine i have seen in a while. Downloaded red orchestra mod and alien swarm, pretty fun. Anyone here play it?

I just bought the game about a week or two ago. Before the most recent patch, my comp was crashing to the desktop immedietly, which sucked, but its all fixed now. I haven't played the full version too much (played the demo quite a bit), but the game is definitely awesome. I'll have to download some of those mods you mentioned and try them out.

ut2004 is definatly a sick ass game, dunno if u guys played the original though cuz that was wat made the series

I have played every version of Unreal from Unreal to UT2k4 myself heh. 2k4 is by far one of the best simply because of the graphics and the sheer number of maps available by default.

I am actually more anticpating Doom 3 than I am half life 2, cause I mean after all Doom is what really created the whole deathmatch thing and Id put trash talking on the map (Thanks romero!). I do want to play Half Life 2 though (The E3 movie is AWSOME).

yea definatly, the fact there are so many modes and maps by default makes it worthwhile....yea and i`m pumped for doom 3 that is the original in fps basically, comes out next month so that`ll be awesome, half life 2 i could care less about with all the delays and watnot but speakin of which the guys who stole the hl2 source code were finally tracked down http://www.shacknews.com/docs/press/061004_halflife2.x
