Actually if you know anything about the backstory of resident evil it is pretty true to the story. The movie parrallels the events of the first game and ends with the beggining of the second game.

The second movie will follow through games 2 and 3 again keeping true to the story with the Nemesis project and Jill's infection

Ok I hate it when games made into movies, take parts and crop them together, because it ruins the whole story and the whole point is to go along with it, not take different aspects simply because they need the whole beggining, climax, and end thing going on. If I remember correctly, in the first game, shes surrounded by zombies in Racoon city with a whole bunch of cars on fire and discovering everything from there. I don't remember a lot of the Resident Evil game sequels, but they have also made the set design way off...not caputring the dark mood of Resident Evil. They made the zombies well and stuff, but for me it didnt do it.

I said the "Back story". The movie is NOT based on game one. The movie is based on the events that lead to the T-Virus getting out (Which you see the effects of in game one). The back story is found out through the other games and the movie follows it.
