Veronica Mars - awesome show

Anyone else a fan of veronica mars ?
If you havent paid attention to it, get the first season on dvd. Its the best show on tv right now. 5/5 stars on amazon reviews.

Its part detective, part drama. Veronica's father is a detective and she works for him. Drama is also wonderful. The pace is very fast, they dont dwell on cliches, no overly emotional crap. A reviewer mentioned its written in Whedonesque style, so true. Buffy/Angel fans will love it. Veronica is in high school, but the show is not about stupid teen high school crap. Its geared towards more mature viewers.
The detective stories are also pretty good - unpredictable and extremely entertaining. There is also an overarching plotline on top ranging over the entire season, so its not possible to jump into the middle of a season and get the depth of the show.

Im not a fan.. i have watched 2 eps. i cant get into it.

Garth Marenghi's Darkplace however, is one of the greatest shows ever.

I love this show. I picked up the first season on dvd because I'm a Buffy/Angel fan, and heard VM compared to this. Definitly a great show. Last year I would have said Lost was easily the best drama, but VM and 24 blow Lost completly away this year. However this show is definitly lacking some female characters.

This show is intricate, just like Angel, it cannot be appreciated by picking up a couple of random episodes - indeed it will appear lame if done so. That is probably why it has struggled with ratings. All the critics are on the bandwagon, but the public hasnt follwed it from the start.
If you get a chance pick the dvd set and watch it in sequence.

I love Veronica Mars...it is by far one of my favorite shows!
