hey jake 4.4 is defintely obtainable but it depends on how much weight u put on , i ran a 4.4 at age 19 but i only weighed 170lbs , so u can make ur way down to that speed dependin on how ur body developes , and also wut kinda runnin style u have , if u run wit stride which im assumin u do , then 4.4 is very obtainable bein u dont put on too much weight

Im a HS freshman, 6',180lbs, play O guard and D nose tackle, and ran a 5.2 40 time at the beginning of the season, will get timed soon. Is this good for these positions?
Bench is at 185-190, DL is at 325-340, and dunno what squat max is.

Anyway, since the 40 yard dash is so important i wanna know what good times are. I play middle linebacker for my HS, im a frosh and i run a 4.85. Im 6-0 190 pounds. I figure with my natural growth and lifting i should get down to a 4.7-4.68 in the forty, i was wondering if these are good, asnd if not, where i should be as a senior to get some college recruitors and a chance at D1 ball.

hey man. your fine. colleges don't even really look a 40s for linebackers.
I run a 4.6 as a sophmore.
Its not speed. Its skill man, dont worry.

hey 4.6 it perfectly fine for a linebacker, as for ur claim that michael johnson would loose to a linebacker in a race i would disagree , because as u know those linebackers are also timed on a track , and therefore would also loose speed on the field , if ur lookin to play linebacker it isnt so much about speed although it helps if u run a 4.6 u will b fine but u also need to be quick in ur breaks , and solid in ur tackling , be where ur supposed to b where ur assigned don't try to guess ur way through everything becuase u might guess right and look like a star but more times than not u'll b worng , especially as u move up in the level of football ur playin at the people who guess are exposed at the position
