I'd say that depends on the workout, and the amount of overload. Obviously, your calves consist of more
slow twitch fibers and they are used to being worked all day, all the time. With each step you take, your calves are being used.
But say you through 350-400 lbs on your back and do
calve raises for 4 sets of 12, your going to feel it hte next day. And trust me, you won't WANT to work them again.
Obviously, that would be tremendous overload, and the everyday walking will be enough to get the bloodflow back to them.
Your body will tell you if theyy've had enough. Sore calves are nothing to mess with. Just go with how you feel.
